Fundraising Group Friends of O’Sullivan School of Irish Dance Incorporated (FOSSIDI) FOSSIDI is a non-profit Incorporated Society committed to the promotion of Irish culture through the development and advancement of Irish Dance as a cultural and sporting activity in the greater Auckland area. FOSSIDI aims to achieve this by supporting the O’Sullivan School of Irish dance in teaching Irish dance to young New Zealanders of any cultural background who wish to express themselves through this very skilled medium. The Executive Committee (E.C.) of FOSSIDI is made up of the principal of the O’Sullivan School of Irish Dance, Hilary O’Sullivan, and seven parents who work collectively to ensure the aims and objectives of the Incorporated Society are adhered to. The E.C. supports the school in making it possible for children to be involved in and aware of Irish culture and enabling them to take part in a competitive dance and arts environment rewarding them with self esteem and confidence. FOSSIDI supports the promotion of display events for our dance troupes as well as our team and individual dancers. The Executive Committee meets regularly to monitor progress of ongoing projects and fundraising activities and organises events that aim to foster social and artistic development in all the dancers. All O Sullivan families are members. |
